How long have you been in business?
I became a lawyer in 1976. I started my own law firm in 1983. I have been a senior member of a law firm since that time.
What is your primary product or service?
Legal advice. Litigation. Estate planning. Business entity formation and planning. Personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Probate, estate and trust.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
A judge that I knew when I was a teenager often said to me "Kid - you should become a lawyer." During college he told me that if I became a lawyer that he would hire me. He did - I went to work for the Sacramento County Superior Court when I was in law school - he was then a senior member of the Court. When in my twenties and early thirties I worked at various time in the state executive, legislative and judicial branches of government. I also worked in local government on appointed boards. Over the period of my practice I have had a varied practice - varied by economic times and legal changes. High points of practice include land use, plaintiff's pharmaceutical litigation, estate planning for business owners, and estate and trust litigation.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
There are other firms that pursue excellence. There are other firms committed to the highest ethical standards. There are other firms committed to their clients and seeing the good in their clients. We are like those other firms.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location - Sacramento County. Most of our work is in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Solano, Marin and Sonoma Counties. We also are involved in a national practice that is focused on national and state health care issues.

What are your hours of operation?
Formal business hours are 9 - 5 weekdays. As a practical matter we are open for appointments from 8 to 6 on weekdays and some weekend appointments are available when needed.
